In Danbury Connecticut,...

In Danbury Connecticut, this first personal gas stop. I just finished it, got my receipt. Receipt time was off by about 37 minutes so I had the attendant corrected it and initial it. That should be okay. All the other receipts should be right in line. So anyway, getting ready to get back on the highway. All is good, weather is good, traffic is heavy through Connecticut, but it's warm and sunny. Goodbye. listen

Getting out of dodge....

Getting out of dodge. I'm ready to start my trip. I'm at the gas station ready to pump my gas and get my starting receipt and I'll be on the road. So, clear skies, looks like good sailing for quite a while, so I'm going to try to make some good time during the daylight hours today and talk to everybody at little further down the road and everybody be safe. Goodbye. listen

Moonshine! Ready to Roll!

Ok, it is almost time and we are all set to go! I am all packed, the bike is ready. Weather looks like I am gonna see a fair amount of rain. I leave for work in about a half hour and then by noon I should be ready to go.

For my SS 1000, the start witness will be someone at work and I will hit the gas station at the corner on the way to highway. I hope to make it through the major metro areas of CT before heavy rush hour sets in.

Everyone wish me luck, enjoy the blog with JOTT and the tracking service I have running. Talk to you all on the road, and see you in Moonshine!

Testing the Jott system....

Testing the Jott system. This is just a test to make sure the Jott system is currently working via my present cell phone. And make sure the messages are transcribing before I go on the Moonshine Motorcycle Ride next week, April 10th. Talk to everybody later, good-bye. listen

April and Another Trip!

Yes, we have made it to April. The weather has still been touch and go, cold and even more snow this past week. I think that put us to a new Record for the season.

Surviving my last run (Jacksonville), I am getting ready for the Moonshine Run, a 1080 mile ride to Casey Illinois. I will be leaving on the 10th, around 1pm and riding straight through on another SS 1000 so that I arrive in time for the lunch gathering on Friday. We are going for the famous Elephant Ear sandwich at the Casey Airport.

Saturday is the main event, a ride to Moonshine Illinois, population 2... where we will be tasting the famous Moonburger! It appears to be 400 of us descending on the town!!

I will hit the road after lunch and visiting and start heading home. I hope to get few hours in and then get a room, finishing up on Sunday and hoping to only have 800 or so miles to get back. I learned a good lesson in JAX about doing an SS 1000 out and back without enough rest!! I was exhausted after that trip.

Need to finalize my route and papers for the SS and then get my stuff packed over the weekend.. Obviously, I will be blogging via JOTT and also have my tracking equipment running. I have checked the tracker today and all is operational, will check JOTT later on today.

Have a good day.....
