D - Day

Finally here!! I depart today on my IBA "adventure"! It is about 32 deg out and raining, I was able to ride to work today at 5:30, no ice... It was about 35 deg then. Everything seems fine, gassed up here on the way in to work so I am ready to leave here at 12:30, right after a light lunch.

I am heading to Newburgh NY from here, and spending the night in a motel. The weather should be rain here but near 40 and Newburgh has rain this am only, so I am hopefull that I will be driving out of the rain. through the afternoon.

In Newburgh, will grab a light supper, check out my start receipt location and make sure I find a spot to grab a quick breakfast sandwich in the morning. As a diabetic, I should have some food in me to start and will carry some juice and snack bars for the SS 1000.

That's all the update for now.... I am both excited and nervous, looking forward to this trip so bad, been counting the days and planning for what seems forever, but now it is here. My butterflys will likely be gone as soon as I hit the highway! Tomorrow around midnight, I should be in Jacksonville!! Can't wait! :)
